Bar Braze is the new method for pin brazing onto steel reinforcements in concrete. It has been specifically developed to enable the connection of cables and galvanic anodes onto the steel bars encased in existing concrete.

This method proves ideal when used in partnership with BAC supplied products  such as GSC SuperAnodes, Linear Polarisation Resistance Probes cabling and other applications where a secure and robust connection to the reinforcement is needed.

The pin brazing procedure remains the same with this method - Clean bar to a clean finish, load the gun with pin and ferrule (with Stinger or cable lug if needed for small diameter cables), adjust as necessary and braze. The gun has been adapted to enable the connections to be made, as has the earth connection. This is now in the form or a long lance connection which needs to be kept clean and sharp.
