The recently held first joint networking event and Institute of Corrosion (ICorr) and NACE GB meet which was organised by BAC proved to be a huge success after the whole day went without major problems.

Visitor attendence was as high as expected and participants in the table top exhibition reported high interest and a number of promising leads on the day. Presentations on LATreatTM, “the alternative solution for insitu corrosion control for marine structures” given by Barry Lamb of BAC and Corrosion Control of Marine Reinforced Concrete given by John Broomfield from Broomfield Consultants also proved both popular and interesting for visitors.

Lunchtime tours of the Ironbridge and the Museum of Iron benefitted from the good weather and with the overall success of the day in mind, it is hoped other events could be organised by BAC and held at the Ironbridge Museums.
