Cathodic protection specialists BAC Corrosion Control Ltd, market leader in providing corrosion control and pin brazing electrical bonding for the oil, gas and utilities industries, has recently transferred its ISO 9001:2000 certification to BM TRADA.
Services offered by BAC include pre-installation designs and surveys, installation testing, commissioning surveys, maintenance and inspection programmes.
Its quality management certification with BM TRADA covers three operating sites, in the UK, Libya and UAE. ’We have recognised the importance of being able to offer clients truly international products and services and accordingly, BAC now has representation in over 15 countries worldwide, including branch and joint venture offices in Tripoli, Libya and Dubai, UAE. These representatives are backed up by our Engineering Services, Products and Technical Development Departments,’ said Neil Dalby from the BAC Marketing Department.
The company has been providing effective solutions to corrosion problems for more than 50 years and has held quality management certification since 1995. ‘It enables us to prove to our clients that we achieve high standards of working practice. The standard is universally recognised and is often accepted in lieu of pre-qualification questionnaires.’
The decision to transfer to BM TRADA was influenced by BAC’s external business management consultant. Mr Dalby added, ‘With BAC striving to achieve OHSAS18001 accreditation as well as extending the accreditation to encompass our new business in Dammam, Saudi Arabia it was important to use a certifying organisation which would meet both needs.
