BAC Corrosion Control Limited, a cathodic protection company based in Telford, UK, has attended three exhibitions so far this year displaying their product portfolio. All of these shows proved to be great successes, with many valued enquiries and much feedback.
With the 50th anniversary of BAC this year, it was decided to try something new to increase the exposure of the company, and to look for new avenues of publicity. The first exhibition displayed at was a road show exhibition at the Lancashire County Cricket Club. This was the first show in a series of thirteen around the country for the water, sewerage and waste industries. BAC had not attended one of these road show types before, so the show was a chance to test the popularity.
Exhibiting Isozin Zinc Tape only, the show proved to be popular amongst both fellow exhibitors and numbers visiting.
Representatives from BAC attended the NACE Expo 04 exhibition from 28th March – 1st April, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, with their distributors GMC Electrical and Galvotec Corrosion Services. The product displayed was Pin Brazing along with the reach system and accessories. This annual exhibition is organised by the world’s foremost Corrosion Society, so a presence here was very important.
The most recent exhibition attended was Civils 2004, in Birmingham (above), last month. Civils 2004 provided BAC with many new sales leads, and new avenues of progression forward for the products displayed. The exhibition was an excellent opportunity to introduce the company to new markets, and to increase exposure in existing markets.
BAC hopes to build on the experience of these exhibitions when they attend future exhibitions later this year. They are being the 9th China International Exhibition on Surface Engineering & Anti Corrosion on 19th-21st May in Shanghai, and also Chemtex &Corrosion Middle East 2004 on 14th-16th September in Dubai.
