1954
MAPEL (originally Metal and Pipeline Endurance Limited) was formed by William Press & Son Ltd. As a division of the civil engineering firm specialising in Cathodic Protection. MAPEL later became part of the AMEC Group.
1957
Bergsøe Anti Corrosion was formed in Denmark, specialising in the production of Zinc and Aluminium anodes for the marine industry.
1978
Global Cathodic Protection Ltd was formed.
1986
BAC acquired Global Cathodic Protection.
1994
Global Cathodic Protection Limited changed it's name to BAC Global and acquired the cathodic protection division of MAPEL from AMEC.
1997
Group reorganisation resulted in the creation of BAC Corrosion Control Ltd. BAC is a part of Midroc Europe, a major international industrial organisation with over 2000 employees.
2008
BAC expanded into the Steel in Concrete industry offering a range of products for protecting new and existing concrete structures, as well as monitoring reinforcement corrosion.
2012
BAC bought Rose Corrosion Services Ltd (RCSL), a world class company specialising in corrosion monitoring and inhibition.
